Guitarist Warren Nicholson won the 1997 “Artists Internal Auditions” in NYC, leading to a Carnegie Recital Hall Debut in 1998. As an active soloist and chamber musician, he has performed with The Mississauga Guitar Society, RBG’S Young People’s concerts, as well as Music Mondays (Toronto), St Luke’s Recitals (Ottawa), St Andrew’s noon-time recitals, St Georges ”Summer concerts” (Kingston), “Movimento Violao” (Sao Paulo, Brazil) and “Composer’s Concordance (NewYork City). He has collaborated with Absolute Ensemble, Oakville Symphony, Etobicoke Philharmonic, The Mississauga Children’s Choir and Toronto Children's Chorus, and the Oakville Choral Society.
Warren has premiered works by Gene Pritsker, Nick Peros, John Cuciurean, and Arthur Kampala. He has published a number of albums, including Latin American Guitar Favourites for solo guitar, and Spanish Miniatures, with music by Torroba, Sor, Tarrega, Albeniz, Calatayud, and Pipo, available on CD and iTunes."
His recent album, Sonidos del Sur, was released on Composers Concordance/Naxos of America in 2021 featuring works by Ardevol, Barrios, Lauro, Diego Pujol, Pernambuco, and Reis.
